Setup & Preparation
Before starting the software process, the XDNP50 Adapter requires a one-time manual preparation:
Assemble the Adapter: Separate the holder into two pieces. Cut and strip the connection cable, then secure it to the adapter’s circular terminal.
Physical Connection: Mount the adapter onto the EWS module following the diagram in the Xhorse App. Ensure the “shark-tooth” pin is accurately aligned with the specified chip leg.
Step-by-Step Tutorial
1. Read EEPROM Data: Open the Xhorse app and select IMMO > BMW > EWS3> Adapter. Connect via the MINI Prog to read and save the EEPROM file.
2. Generate Dealer Key: Open the Special Function >IMMO Data Tool, load your saved file, and select an open key position. Place a new key into your Key Tool Max Pro and tap Make Dealer Key.
3. Final Testing: Reinstall the EWS module into the vehicle. There is no need to write data back to the module. Simply turn the ignition on and off once to start the engine.
