Some users don’t know the right way to place a key blank on Xhorse Key Cutting Machine clamps. Considering misplacement may cause key moving or cutter failing to cut keys. Below we will demonstrate the correct position to install a key blank.

If I was putting key blank on Dolphin XP-007 clamp like this, in front, the cutters cannot touch both keys. But in the back, both can be touched.

1. Please notice to place the key blank on the upper stair. It’s the wrong position to put into the bottom groove.
2. Remember to tighten the key blank to fix it. The left upper groove is also workable.
Attached is the correct key placement location on the Dolphin II M5 clamp. Most Xhorse key cutting machines follow the same way.
