VVDI Key Tool Plus Fiat 500 Remote Not Working Solution

VVDI Key Tool Plus

Issue:

Fiat 500 2009 vehicle starts perfectly but the buttons don’t work, did it via OBD directly, how to do with Key Tool Plus Pad?

A lot of reasons could cause remote issues, so in this article, we’ll talk about 3 possible situations.

1. Key Issue

The possible reason could be the key, so we have 3 ways to try:

1)Make sure VVDI remote type is correct

Before generating a transponder, your device will tell you which key type to select.

In this case, you should select a XE super remote in a purple package.

Also, check things like battery…

2)Customize VVDI remote

VVDI remote is a universal key, and you may need to manually modify it so that the remote could match your vehicle.

The path on VVDI Key Tool Plus: Special Function>>VVDI remote function

Put your programmed key into the slot and read it.

Check every button’s setting to see if any button is “Unrecognized”, if buttons match their functions, if one’s frequency is correct, and try to increase “Signal strength”.

3)Try an OEM key

Usually OEM key is more expensive but it has better quality and it’s already set/pre-coded to match your vehicle.

2. Device Issue

Try another key programmer, and an alternative is why we’d better have more than one tool.

Some successful cases:

  • Fiat 5002016 by Autel IM608 success, no problem. Extraction of PIN code, Lock and unlock, start it perfectly.
  • Fiat key copyOkay, Fiat 500 2011, using Mini Key Tool and VVDI super chip.
  • VVDI Key tool max + Lonsdor or Zedfull, generated remote then PIN code extraction then dial code then proceed to program. It’s simple.

3. Module Issue

If we’re sure that the device and the key is okay, then the problem may be door lock actuator.

Check the linkage of the red thing to see if you need to replace the module.

Alright, that’s some possible solutions on remote issues.

When a remote issue happens, re-programming it is not a good choice because there is a problem that needs to be solved.
